Crash detection Bike Attachment for kids
ProductDesign/RF/Industrial Design
This is a MIT 2.009 product where I worked with a team of 15 to design a crash detection bike attachment for kids that will function without a phone.
The product includes a crash detection system, a gps module, a speaker and a phone app for parents to track their kids. I was in charge of the Industrial Design and the User Interaction of the product.
The final form features a dark purple matt finish with an indented logo in the middle. The form is symmetric and has a curved edge, with the speaker holes on one side and the button on the other. This form is designed to integrate seamlessly with any bike helmet on the back of the head to the tightening strap. The form blends in with the overall curvature of the bike helmet and recesses into the back of the helmet.
